State police looking for missing Elwyn resident

Pennsylvania State Police from the  Media barracks are attempting to locate 46-year-old Frank Joseph Lavin, a resident of Elwyn but also a member of their Life Sharing Program and stays with a care provider in Middletown Township. Lavin is mentally challenged, though able to function relatively normal, according to his caretakers, and this was the first time in six years that he has not come home in a timely manner. He is known to frequent areas in Middletown Township — Granite Run Mall, Hannum’s Harley Davidson, Tyler Arboretum, Ridley Creek State Park —  Media Borough, Harrah’s Casino in Chester, and Aston Township. He will frequently be seen riding a gray diamondback bicycle with a black basket on the right side and wearing a silver and red helmet.

Lavin is entered in NCIC as missing endangered.

Any one seeing Lavin or who has any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the PSP Media Barracks at 484-840-1000
