Dolores A. Commale, 79, of Chadds Ford, died on March 30, at White Horse Village.
Born in Woodlyn, and raised in Linwood, she resided for the past year with her daughter Michelle and son in law Lou in Chadds Ford, previously residing in Aston and Brookhaven.
Dolores worked for Columbia Research Lab in Woodlyn for 10 years, retiring in 1988 and loved being with her family, grandchildren and great granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George F. and Elizabeth Scott Mayer, husband, Samuel M. Commale Sr. who died in 1987, 4 siblings, George, William and Donald Mayer and Elizabeth Barrett.
She is survived by two children, Samuel M. Jr. (Norma) Commale, Michelle A. (Lou) Turco, a half sister, Suzanne Miracle, half brother, Alan Mayer, five grandchildren, Samuel, Daniel and David Commale, Christina and Michael Turco and one great granddaughter, Juliana Commale.
Funeral Mass was Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road in Wilmington.
Interment was at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield.
